So here I am battling through the toughest workout for me (it's called "Chisel Balance," and for those of you who don't already know about my issues with coordination...the struggle is REAL...), and I look over and there's my kitty Dragon, without a care in the world, slumbering peacefully in the sun, like I'm not grunting, screaming, cursing, and whining my way through my biggest challenges. I'm not gonna lie, I kinda wanted to strangle him. Don't worry, no kitties were harmed in the making of this post.
But it DID make me realize that no matter what you're going through, no matter how hard the struggle, life goes on around you. If you don't share it, no one knows. You're probably thinking that's a good thing. But there's a flip side here: if you don't share it, then no one can find inspiration in you, connect with you, identify with you, be motivated by you, or feel less alone in what they're going through. Dragon leads a charmed life and will never understand my struggle, no matter how many times I try to explain it to him. But if I inspire just one person to look their fears and obstacles dead in the face, and decide and commit to overcoming them, it's all worth it to me.
