More than meets the eye.

Transformation is SO much more than meets the eye.

The girl on the left had just passed the bar exam after failing not one -- but two times. She was on "vacation" in New Orleans working with Habitat for Humanity in February 2008 after Hurricane Katrina, waiting, hoping and praying for a call back from ANY of the numerous firms where her resume was undoubtedly sitting on the bottom of a rather large pile of applicants. Even though she had FINALLY passed the bar, she had just been through a year and a half of failure. Of self-criticism, self hate, feeling directionless and telling herself that this huge win was tainted by the asterisk of failures before it.

During that trip, I did in fact get a call from my to-be employer where I would work as an attorney for the next almost 7 years.

The excitement of being a professional, the thrill of litigation and of "adulting" (ok I HATE that word, adulting, but it's so well-suited here that I caved and used it)... soon wore off, as the novelty does the first time you spill something and forever stain your newest, most favoritest dress.

And the self-criticism carried on. I was passed over for promotions...more failure. I was consumed with that gnashing feeling in the pit of my stomach that even after those 14-hour-days I could have and SHOULD have worked harder. I stuffed that feeling by commiserating over happy hour bitchfests, dinners I couldn't afford, and cooking rich and exquisite meals...at least I KNEW I was good at that.

Needless to say I packed on the pounds and could no longer fit into my clothes by January 2014.

But this #transformationtuesday post isn't about weight loss or my physical health and fitness transformation. It's so much more than that.

The personal development I have done as part of my growth with this business has led me to believe with conviction that I AM a life changer. I am inspiring. I am qualified. I am passionate. I am not only improving my own life on a daily basis but I'm improving the lives of others. I have found a place where I can shine my own sparkly glow in the midst of the most uplifting and motivating people who make me want to be the best possible version of me that I can be. Who believe in me. And saw the light inside of me even when I didn't see it myself.

So cheers to all of you who welcomed me into this family with open arms, and to those who let me welcome you...fellow #teameagle and #fearlesseagles.

And if you're reading this and want to join us, we're always looking to adopt new family members. (oh yeah, and we get PAID to help others while we work on our WHOLE selves, mind body and soul) 😱😍❤️😘

Message me to learn more about how it all goes down ❤️
