Hello all! I'm going a bit off my usual topics and discussing my spiritual journey today. I wanted to share a bit about my experience tonight at a spiritual meeting I attend weekly called Organic. Tonight's lesson was about the rich and beautiful topic of dreamers! I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be willing to bet that, like Joseph, we've all felt thrown into a pit at some time or another. I was reminded of a terrible pit I was in last year, feeling stuck in a place that was no longer working for me - where I was bitter, resentful, angry and so far away from where my dreams had led me that I had lost hope of ever finding my way out again. It was during that time I met an angel named Micki who I truly believe was sent by God to retrieve me and lift me out. I know this may sound crazy to some people and I initially hesitated to share it, but I believe I so strongly about this that my heart convicted me to share it. I count Micki among one of many blessings that have been placed in my life - she has been there as a friend, sister, mentor, and leader. I now feel part of a family of friends that always have my back and are loving and kind - always looking out for me and my best interests, as I do theirs. I'm grateful every day for them! As the amazing and wonderful David Bisono said tonight, God will send help to you to pull you out of your pit when it's time - and I instantly understood that God was at work in my life last year by sending Micki to rescue me - and am proud to be called one of Mama Eagle's children!
Oh - and the Broadway reference I chose here as a picture is because I was huge into musicals as a teenager and young adult, and this particular one holds a special place in my heart - I had forgotten all about it until tonight when David shared the story of Joseph. I was able to reconnect with something stored in those years while getting to listen to the soundtrack on the long drive home tonight and it was truly beautiful. I learned so much about myself!
